Leaving a New Mark, Living Room or Ark?, Installation, 2020

Installation, Dimensions Variable

What role did the relative homogeneity of prehistoric cultures across the world and the Bauhaus with its  spiritual approach played in the way we understand lifestyle and the everyday? I am always interested in following these tangled up lineages and investigate their connections and by-products.I find something really intriguing in the interconnections  of all these fields as I believe there is an undercurrent that makes them inherently and indisputably close to each other and I think this is in need of emergence. An Ikea-decorated “living room/shrine” where the spirits  of all those lineages sit down in a family reunion and the text-to-speech generator recites the opening lines of Homer’s Odyssey in Esperanto, the epitome of modernist thought for a language, so as to break the ice for a start.
