ENTROPIC ROUNDABOUT,2020 (SOLO SHOW @THE MORGUE)
The archetype of the house, represented by a plastic house frame, in the middle and a video ad from an 80s Greek/French supermarket chain (a brand also associated with modernism, andf urniture very close to the aesthetic today’s IKEA) mixed with scenes from a smiling plastic toy, projected on top of the top of the house frame.Figurines, a plant and a drawing decorating a niche in the wall resembling an altar or some kind of house interior. Two laser engraved crystals, one hanged from the floor and one put as a museum artifact on a plinth poking fun at the aesthetic of those crystals through a design that looks something like Egyptian cartouche meet memes.A paper tape with a physics book design explaining entropy and the golden Apple of Discord. The composition is completed with a display box full of wooden blocks and pebbles, standing on a fluo-coloured plastic stool, a wall with a set of metal leaf pieces that I engraved with graphic doodles and three photo frames with Swarovski-like crystals full of dirt, a cheap plastic bowl and photos of an ancient tool, four bolts and a distorted picture of a Greek island town.
